25 NORSU students off to Singapore for training

Twenty five students from Negros Oriental State University are in Singapore for a three-week leadership training sponsored by Temasek Foundation, in coordination with Saceda Youth Lead of Dumaguete.

The students will be in Singapore until Sept. 13, hosted by Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Ten of the students are in Tourism: Prissie Gem Aboy, Jessa Mae Amores, Roxinnie Calimpong, Anabel Elloreg, John Paul Fernando, Jerissa Fontejon, Phoebe June Gordoncillo, Kate Mangubat, Vilma Rubio, and Tonne Rose Tomales. Three are in Architecture: Khayat Rahma, Al Anthony Siplon, and Marga Estrelle Vilas. Three are Education students: Joy Asierto, Realyn Garsula, and Agustin Nicolas Salva Jr. Two are Geology students Ryan Jay Cornelia and Don Victorino de Guzman. Two are in Business Administration: Manny Barrios Jr. and Marie Cris Catubig. The others are: John Angelo Albina (Civil Engineering), Janice Ella (Hotel Management), Sardan Philip (Industrial Technology), Lorimar Atienza (Psychology), and Neil Jones Naces (Arts).

With them are two faculty chaperones, Dr. Sarah Fatima Valencia, and Prof. Angel Mahinay.

In September, some 20 Ngee Ann Polytechnic students from Singapore will also be in Dumaguete for a similar training, hosted by Saceda Youth Lead. (Joy Perez)
