NORSU to award honor students Feb. 17

The Negros Oriental State University will hold Honors Day on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the University gymnasium to give academic and special awards to 364 students.

For the academic awards, the honor students will receive either the Presidential Academic Award with 100 recipients, or the Presidential Technology Award with eight recipients.

For the special awards, 276 students will receive the Dean’s List Award. No one qualified for the Most Proficient in Technology Skills Award this year.

Honors Day guest speaker is NORSU alumna Henzel Mae Ymbol, market and liquidity risk officer of China Bank Savings Inc. in Manila. She graduated with the degree BS in Mathematics in March 2012 as NORSU’s first summa cum laude.
