The Commission on Higher Education authorizes Negros Oriental State University to offer Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency & Accreditation Program for five years starting school year 2012-2013.

NORSU President Dr. Henry A. Sojor made this announcement after he received the Certificate of Deputization to NORSU from CHED to offer the Equivalency & Accredication Program in BA in Mass Communication, BS in Criminology, and BS in Business Administration.

The MassComm and Criminology programs belong to the College of Arts & Sciences, while Business Administration is under the College of Business & Accountancy.

Awarded to NORSU to offer the Equivalency & Accrediation program was a Certificate of Deputization signed on March 5, 2012 by Dr. Patricia Licuanan, CHED chairperson.

“We hope that Negros Oriental State University will implement the ETEEAP efficiently, keeping its integrity and ensuring that quality of learning is maintained, as we provide our working undergraduates the access to higher education through the system of equivalency and accreditation,” CHED said.
