Eleven graduating students from Silliman University were were among the recipients of this year’s Young Men’s Christian Association Outstanding Student Award during the 33rd YMCA Award Recognition Ceremonies held March 21 at the YMCA Conference Hall in barangay Talay.
This year, more than 150 senior high school and college students from across Negros Oriental were recognized after undergoing a rigorous selection process.
The YMCA Outstanding Student Award is a community-level recognition program that honors students for their academic excellence, leadership skills, talents, and contributions to co-curricular and community activities.
The YMCA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Filipino youth improve their lives by fostering leadership, service, and overall well-being. They aims to help individuals become healthier in spirit, mind, and body through various programs and initiatives. (Timothy Deo Libres/SU Masscom)
