The Pag-IBIG Fund has turned over loan checks recently to housing developer, PhilSouth Properties and Development Corp during the latter’s inauguration of its new amenities at the Northville grounds in Boloc-boloc, Sibulan town in Negros Oriental.

Pag—IBIG Fund Vice President for Visayas Victoria dela Peña together with Cebu branch manager Rio Teves also awarded 25 homeowners of the financed housing units of Pag-IBIG of their house acceptance certificate.

These families were able to acquire homes through Pag-IBIG’s housing loan program.

The latest amenities inaugurated include the Northville pavilion, sports facilities, playgrounds, and the socialized model house, Del Rosario Dos.

Sibulan Mayor Marcela G. Bartoces, together with De la Peña and PhilSouth president, Luisito Tijing, led the ribbon-cutting ceremonies. The facilities were blessed by Rev. Fr. Enrique Thaddeo Balongag.

Tijing in his welcome remarks said that the place where Northville stands today used to be a forgotten place and added that he just trusted his instincts that paved the way for Northville’s existence. “This place holds a promise,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, De la Peña said that she is “happy to meet their mandate of putting up houses” which were actualized in Pag-IBIG Fund’s partnership with PhilSouth as she looks forward to 10 more years of partnership with PhilSouth.

The activity held an open house and “Summer Saya” activities with a grand salo-salo of the homeowners association with a live band and a dance showdown by the Prime Machine.

The fire dance and fireworks display highlighted the event. (CAA-PIA)
