Joshua Eleazar Domen, March graduate of St. Paul University Dumaguete with the degree BS Information Technology, is one of the 2012 Natioanal Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines finalists.
According to Raffy Arbon, SPUD director for External Affairs, a total of 30 official national finalists from the various colleges and universities in the country will convene in Manila to attend the National Week activities which includes a panel interview.
Domen was former president of the Paulinian Supreme Student Government, was one of the official delegates to the Conference on Volunteerism in Malaysia, as well as one of the participants to the Youth Exchange Program of Japan, and the Youth Leadership Program of Singapore. He was an active volunteer in various community outreach services in the Province.
Before making it in the national search, Domen was chosen as one of the awardees of the 2012 Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines Region VII — Central Visayas together with Regina Clarina Elmaco, also from St. Paul University, and Athena Duran of Silliman University.
The TOSP is an awards and formation program that seeks to stimulate the youth into nation building through exemplary academic performance, change, making social involvement, and inspiring leadership services to their school, local communities and the country. (PR/SPUD)
