The Livestock Research division of the Department of Science & Technology, and the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic, Resources Research & Development, in collaboration with the DOST Negros Oriental, conducted a three-day short course training aimed to empower partner researchers, dairy animal raisers, and government agricultural personnel, on feed resource management to enhance dairy animal production performance.

Resource speakers included Dr. Synan Baguio, livestock research director at PCAARRD; Prof. Christian Lualhati from the Institute of Animal Science at the UPLB College of Agriculture & Food Science; and Dr. Daniel Aquino, dairy animal expert.

The participants had the opportunity to engage in a hands-on demonstration of silage making at Zamora’s Agricultural Farm in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental, providing them with practical skills to implement in their own dairy operations. (DOST Region 7)
