The Presidential Commission on Good Government will celebrate its 25th anniversary with a roadshow at Silliman University with the theme Closing Chapters: Finding a Way Forward.
The roadshow will include a week-long exhibit starting on Monday, Sept. 19 at the SU Main Library of the PCGG’s history and activities, and a forum on Good Governance at the SU Assembly Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 in the morning. The forum and opening of exhibits will be attended by PCGG Commissioners Atty. Maita Chan-Gonzaga, Gerard A. Mosqueda, Nelson Acebo, and Richard Amurao headed by its chair, Atty. Andres D. Bautista.
The roadshow is a partnership of the PCGG with the SU College of Law through Dean Mikhail Lee L. Maxino, School of Public Affairs & Governance Dean Reynaldo A. Rivera, and the Salonga Center for Law & Development Director Myrish T. Cadapan-Antonio.
The roadshow’s highlight will be held on Sept. 21, anniversary of Martial Law as a significant illustration of the Filipino rising above the regime of human rights violations and infamous accumulation of ill-gotten wealth — one of the main reasons of the creation of the PCGG. The exhibit runs until Sept. 23. (PR)
