The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in Negros Oriental arrested two alleged illegal drugs pushers considered as high-value targets (HVTs) during a buy-bust operation in Dumaguete City.

An initial report from the PDEA identified the suspects as Gerwin Albina Pis-an, 48 years old, married, and a resident of barangay Cadawinonan, and Giovanni Aguilar Blanco, alias Jovie, 43 years old, married and a resident of Northville Subd., barangay Boloc-boloc in nearby Sibulan town.

PDEA Provincial Head Agent Jason Cabataña said he and his team conducted a buy-bust operation shortly before noon Wednesday at Purok Starapple in barangay Cadawinonan.

The suspects were arrested after they allegedly sold one transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative for P7,000.

Confiscated from their possession were seven other medium-sized transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated total street value of P70,000.

Meanwhile, the PDEA has also filed charges against two suspected drug pushers who were arrested earlier in the week.

The PDEA identified the suspects as Lundy May Taring Cabatingan and Pelric Callora Calugcugan, both from Valencia town.

An initial report said that both were arrested in separate buy-bust operations Monday afternoon in Dumaguete.

Recovered from the suspects’ possession were 13 pieces of transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P39,000.
