The Philippine National Police, in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection, conducted inspections across Negros Oriental, leading to the confiscation of illegal firecrackers and pyrotechnics.
Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, reported on Friday that prohibited items were seized in Manjuyod and Vallehermoso towns.
Among the confiscated items were 35 pieces (one box) of “Poppop” in Manjuyod, as well as 300 pieces of “Five Star”, and 10 pieces of “Super Candle Bomb” in Vallehermoso.
Prohibited firecrackers included “watusi”, “Piccolo”, “pla-pla”, “Hello Columbia”, “Goodbye Napoles”, “Super Yolanda”, “giant bawang”, “giant whistle bombs”, “pillbox”, “boga”, and large-sized “Judas belts”.
