PNP vows peaceful Buglasan Festival

The newly-assumed Police Provincial Office Director P/Col. Jonathan Pineda, who served as former chief-of-police of Dumaguete City from 2017-2019, met with Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo to discuss ways and means to further enhance the maintenance of the peace and order situation in the capital city of Negros Oriental.

City Chief-of-Police Lt. Col. Joeson Parallag, City Administrator Lilani Ramon, and City Budget Office Antonieta General also met about measures to be adopted to ensure the safe conduct of the different activities of the upcoming Buglasan Festival that will be held at the Pantawan People’s Park at the end of Rizal Boulevard.

Thousands of guests from different cities and municipalities, including foreign tourists, are expected to join the week-long celebration that requires an elaborate security plan in coordination with City Councilor Rey Lyndon Lawas for the efficient and safe conduct of the festivities.
