Police have arrested at least three suspects and seized some P90,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu during a buy-bust operation in the nearby island-province of Siquijor.

A police report identified the arrested suspects as Blaire Gabin Pacarat, 37 years old, married; Jerry Sumalpong Paghasian, 49, a widower; and Cesar Gabin Pacarat, 23, single, all residents of Barangay Minalulan in the municipality of Maria in Siquijor province.

Confiscated were 27 pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu from the possession of Blaire Pacarat and one piece medium-sized plastic sachet from Cesar Pacarat.

The police also confiscated one pack of empty plastic sachets and one unit 12-HP motorized banca from the possession of Paghasian.

Charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 of R.A. 9165 for illegal possession and illegal sale of “shabu” are to be filed against the suspects. (PNA/JFP)
