Press Club to hold fun run to raise funds

The Dumaguete Press, Radio & TV Club Inc. is organizing a Fun Run for-a-cause on Sunday, Dec. 1st.

According to broadcaster Choy Gallarde, president of the Press Club, the categories of the fun run are 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer distances.

In a planning meeting with City Sports Officer Ike Villaflores who will provide the technical support, it was agreed that the minimal cost of registration will be pegged at P150. for either category.

Gallarde said proceeds from the run-for-a-cause will be used to purchase tables and chairs, electric fans, and a sound system for the Press Club Building located at the south end of the Dumaguete boulevard.

Registration for the Fun Run will begin this week. Announcements will be made on the ‘Dumaguete Press Club Inc.’ Facebook wall.

The fun run organized by the Dumaguete Press Club will be held with the support of the Dumaguete local government, the Traffic Management Office, the Disaster Risk-Reduction & Management Office, and the Philippine National Police. (PR)
