Public hearing with pedicab drivers, operators May 15, 16

The City Government of Dumaguete, through the Sangguniang Panlungsod, will conduct a public consultation especially with pedicab drivers and operators on the proposed ordinance establishing the “Alternative Day” traffic scheme for motorcabs for hire.

The City Council will meet with operators and drivers of Sidecar Nos. 0001 to 1250 on Tuesday, May 15.

Operators and drivers of Sidecare Nos. 1251 to 2500 will have their chance to meet with the City Council on Wednesday, May 16. Both sessions will begin at 8am until 12 noon at the Lamberto Macias Sports & Cultural Center at the Capitol Area.

The author of the proposed ordinance is Councilor Danilo T. Leon, co-authored by Vice-Mayor Alan Gel Cordova, Councilors Franklin Esmena Jr., Jose Victor Imbo, and Erwin Michael Macias. (PR)
