The Board of Regents of the Negros Oriental State University has announced the election of Dr. Don Vicente Real as the new NORSU president starting July 12.
Real, who holds a Doctor of Education degree, is the campus administrator of NORSU Bais City.
Dr. Real was chosen from a field of four candidates, who were selected by a search committee headed by Silliman University President Dr. Ben Malayang III.
The search committee members were Cebu Normal University President Dr. Marcelo Lopez, former region 7 Director of the National Economic Development Authority Malene Rodriguez, Commission on Higher Education Region 7 Director Dr. Amelia Biglete, and Dr. Cecilia Abringe, representative of the alumni, faculty and student sectors.
