President Benigno S. Aquino III recently appointed former Dumaguete City Mayor Atty. Felipe Antonio Remollo as president and chief executive officer of the Clark Development Corp.
CDC is the administrative and governing body of the Clark Freeport Zone, a 2,500-hectare modern aviation complex, touted as the country’s future premier gateway site.
Aside from Remollo, President Aquino also appointed Cezar Villanueva, dean at the Ateneo de Manila Law School, as chairman of the board of CDC.
A statement from Silliman University, Atty. Ipe Remollo’s alma mater, said that former Dumaguete Mayor Remollo is also an incoming member of the University’s Board of Trustees.
He obtained from Silliman University his high school diploma in 1977, and a degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, in 1981. Remollo is currently senior vice president of Prudential Guarantee & Assurance Inc., one of the largest non-life insurance companies in the Philippines. (Rachelle Nessia/PIA Negros Oriental)
