More than 72 local runners of the Dumaguete Amateur Runners & Striders and the Metro Dumaguete Road Runners Club do a “Run for Banjo’s Recovery” Tuesday and Thursday nights this week to raiseP10,910.00 to help pay for Phillip Andrew Salem’s stay in the hospital for the past 11 days. 29-year-old Banjo, son of Deo & Debbie Salem, has been comatose since he suffered a myocardial infarction last week. He is now off the respirator but needs constant medical care. Banjo is an active supporter of the local roadraces in the Province. His mother, Psychology profeesor Debbie Salem, said they hope to move to a private room soon. She said, “God is good all the time!” Donations are welcome through MetroPost or through Banjo’s parents who continue to be by Banjo’s bedside. (Photos by Jojo Monasterial)
