Congressman Manuel Sagarbarria (2nd District) has called on Dumaguetenos to do their share in promoting the City by informing their friends that it is still a safe place.
Sagarbarria issued the call in an interview Thursday, in the wake of the scare brought about by the overreported stabbing incidents in Dumaguete.

He said there were three reported incidents but there was no “Stabbing spree” as reported by some social media accounts.
“My friends who are tricycle drivers told me that their income dropped because people were already afraid to go out at night,” he said.
Restaurant operators, he added, have also reported fewer patrons.
“People are scared and the government has to assure them that everything is all right,” Sagarbarria said.
He said the City has to improve the peace and order condition so people can feel safe once more and resume their normal lives.” (PR)
