Some 35,000 Dumaguete City residents will soon be receiving P500 each as the City’s Christmas gift.
The distribution of the Christmas gift for residents of 22 of the City’s 30 barangays will be done from Monday through Friday.
Those entitled to receive the gift are senior citizens, solo parents, persons with disability and indigent families.
Employees of the City Social Welfare & Development Office, and the City Treasurer’s Office will give the cash gift in the various barangays.
The City budgeted P 17.5 million from local funds to give the gift to the 35,000 individuals.
On Monday, Feb. 12, the payout will be done at the City Treasurer’s Office for barangays Bantayan and Calindagan. The cash assistance for barangays Motong and Daro will be done at their respective barangay gymnasiums.
For Tuesday, Feb. 13, the City Treasurer’s Office will release the cash gift for barangays Piapi and Tabuctubig; while those for Barangays Cantil-e and Buñao will be at their respective gymnasiums.
For Wednesday, Feb. 14, the City Treasurer’s Office will give out the cash gifts for residents of Taclobo. Those of barangays Balugo, Talay, Junob, Batinguel and Cadawinonan will be given at their respective gymnasiums.
For Thursday, Feb. 15, the City Treasurer’s Office will disburse the cash gifts for Bagacay; while those for Camanjac, Bagacay and Banilad will be done at their respective gymnasiums.
For Friday, Feb. 26, the City Treasurer’s Office will disburse the cash gifts of residents of Looc; while those of barangays Candau-ay, Bajumpandan, and Pulantubig can claim theirs from their barangay gymnasium.
The City also announced that qualified resients of Poblacion 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 have already received their cash gifts. (PR)
