Yasmin Alih takes the helm of the Silliman Alumni Association Inc., together with Cidni Mapa as vice president, Maria Agnes Tenorio as treasurer, Adlai Amor as PRO, and Marie delos Reyes as executive secretary. Alih, national sales head of T1 Rentals, a division of First Balfour, said that as SAAI president, she intends to “strengthen further the ties among alumni chapters, and increase the membership base of lifetime alumni members”. “Tied to it will be instituting programs reflecting SAAI as a dynamic and inclusive alumni association. Following the fiscal and policy reforms made within the last two years, the next logical step is to look into the core of the SAAI – the alumni – and reflect on the Association’s relevance to every Sillimanian who has passed through the Portals,” Alih said.

Meanwhile, the SAAI Dumaguete Chapter also elected their set of officers, now headed by President Atty. Ebenezer Y. Lim. The other officers are Cong. Jocelyn Sy-Limkaichong and Atty. Pristine Ramona Martinez-Raymond as vice presidents; Moses Joshua Atega as secretary; Leodegario Rosales as treasurer; Roswell Cataylo as auditor; and Minerva Mae Magdamo as PRO. The board of directors are: Leo Dennis Mamicpic, Dr. Frances Hope Yap, Atty. Niña Rica Ruperto-Teves, Lorna Peña Reyes-Makil, Luz Forbes, and Jocelyn Somoza-dela Cruz.

The new officers will serve until 2023.
