Silliman High sophie off to natl impromptu competition

A second year high school student of the SU School of Basic Education will represent the Visayas in the national finals of the Voice of the Youth impromptu speaking competition on Feb. 22 in Manila.

Jude Martin Amiscaray bested his fellow contestants from other high schools in the Visayas, topped their respective division-level competitions, and was adjudged champion in the regional round of the VOY competition held Nov. 23 in Cebu.

Amiscaray is an awarded speaker and debater since his elementary years. His trip to Manila will be sponsored by the Rotary Club. The VOY is a speech competition that aims to enhance the English proficiency and communication skills of young people. (Mark Garcia/SU OIP)
