Silliman Honors Day set on Feb. 15

Sillimanians with excellent academic standing will be recognized in the 58th Annual Honors Day Convocation 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15 at the Silliman University Gym.

Out of hundreds of College Honors and Class Honors, 33 students will be awarded University Honors.

The university rules for honor students state that the University Honor is given to graduating Sillimanians who have been awarded as College Honors in both their junior and senior years, or both their sophomore and senior years.

In addition to honor certificates, scholarship keys will also be given to 27 University Honors who qualified for College Honors for two consecutive years.

The University Honors awardees are Julinchel Licayan (Nutrition & Dietietics), Andrea Lim (Mass Communication), Dean Alvin Macasilhig (Mechanical Engineering), Cris Gievid Narca (Computer Engneering), Yanibee Noynay (Civil Engineering), Kateleen Marie Ogabang (Mass Communication), Justein Mark Ojales (Mechanical Engineering), Loushan Neña Pis-an (Anthropology), Roselle Louise Publico (Medical Technology), Janice Quitevis (Business Management), Reyshiel Saldo (Secondary Education), Manuel Sayson III (Mechnical Engineering), Claudette Somorostro (Medical Technology), Dara Tanato (Elementary Education), Richard Angelo Tiu (Arts-History), and Ian John Emmanuel Tubio (Secondary Education).

Students who will be especially honored for excellent scholarship in their junior and senior years: Isabel Wen Badon (Chemistry), Leslie Batallones (Mass Communication), Michiko Je Bito-on (Mass Communication), Johan Floyd Boles (Business Management), Vicmar Bustamante (Computer Engineering), Marc Josue Cabilan (Computer Engineering), Clarisse Joan Cadano (Medical Technology), Dayle Danielle Casianan (Business Management), Keith Vaughn Erin Codina (Psychology), Krystal April Joy Curso (Medical Technology), Sunshine Gianne Deiparine (Library Information Science), Amyrrha Estolloso (Secondary Education), Dana Abigail Ferrer (Business Management), Doris Ferrolino (Business Management), Hannah Jhania Gaitera (Business Management), Kent Reynel Gayramara (Chemistry), and Annika Lao (Business Management).
