Social media plays a vital role in connecting people no matter what the distance. It encourages an awareness for current affairs, and keeps us informed in every aspect of the world.

The past years, it has also been used as a tool for learning. It has become an avenue of communication amongst students collectively working on a project, a homework, or task that requires a group effort.

It can also be a channel for gathering data for consensus used in research since the social media allow us to create various polls on line or mini questionnaires that can provide immediate feedback.

Some educators also prefer posting their requirements in class through various social media outlets to keep up with the times in this generation of millennials, providing yet again another leap towards the progress of education.
