SPUD dean named outstanding teacher

A dean of St. Paul University Dumaguete was awarded as 2011 Saceda Youth Lead Outstanding Teacher for her “exceptional achievement in the field of student development whose passion, drive, and commitment have stirred greater interest in encouraging and developing students, strengthening character, and protecting the welfare of all, contributing to the enhancement of democracy and social action.

Dr. Caridad D. Maadil, dean of the SPUD College of Arts & Education, was chosen by the Saceda Youth Lead headed by chairman and founder Dave G. Saceda, in partnership with the National Youth Commission, the Commission on Higher Education, Department of Education, Asian Institute of Management, Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

Dean Maadil is from Valencia. She completed her elementary and secondary education in Jolo, Sulu as class valedictorian. She finished her Bachelor’s degree in Education major in English, and Master of Arts in Extension Education at Silliman University. She also completed her Doctor in Philosophy in Education at the University of San Carlos in Cebu City, and worked in the teaching profession for almost 30 years.
