St. Paul University Dumaguete hosted the Sayaw Pinoy Philippines on Feb. 16 with various nationally-acclaimed dance groups like the Halili-Cruz Ballet Company, Technological University of the Philippines Dance Company, Senukwan Dance Company of Pampanga, Melengas Dance Ensemble of Pagadian City, and Negros Oriental’s MEV Dance Company.
The SPUD Handuraw Dance Troupe and the Kabilin Dance Troupe of the Negros Oriental State University also performed under the direction of Shirley Halili-Cruz, head of the NCCA National Committee on Dance.
St. Paul is one of the many educational institutions supporting the yearly National Arts Month Celebration and the Philippine Arts Festival under the auspices of the National Commission for Culture & the Arts. (SPUD/Raffy Duhaylungsod)
