The various innovations and initiatives at St. Paul University Dumaguete are part of the current administration’s thrust of providing quality Paulinian education and services to its students.
Since the summer until now, the University management team, faculty, and support staff have been going through a series of seminars, conferences, congresses, and planning sessions to make sure the University is on the right path to academic excellence.
Recently, SPUD High School, a PAASCU Level I- accredited program, was granted Level II re-accreditation status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines for having satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled accrediting requirements.
Meanwhile, SPUD Grade School, a PAASCU Level I- accredited program, is once again preparing for another PAASCU accreditation visit in December.
Various courses in the college level are Level III- accredited by PAASCU, while other undergraduate courses and graduate school degrees also submit themselves for accreditation by the Philippine Association of Colleges & Universities — Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
On the other hand, the Commission on Higher Education has granted SPUD the authority to offer Master in Environmental Studies.
The Technical Education Skills & Development Authority (TESDA) has also granted SPUD the authority to offer the Certificate in Environmental Management, the Philippine’s first TESDA short—term course in the environment.
St. Paul is the first ISO-certified educational institution in the Visayas and Mindanao, and a recipient of the Most Sustainable & Eco—Friendly School in Central Visayas for the last four years.
