The Paulinian Outreach Foundation Inc. and St. Paul University Dumaguete opened last week a Community Health and Development Center in Bio-os in the town of Amlan.

The initiative aims to extend health services to the community of Amlan. The activity started with a blessing ceremony officiated by Fr. Roman Sagun, followed by the Medical Mission.

The event was graced by the Baltazar Regalado family whose parents donated the land, Dr. Robert & Tess Turner and Elena Lajato representing the Philippine-American Association of North Carolina, SPUD Alumni Association Board officers Rebecca Bautista, Rodolfo Locsin, and Ruben Badon, the local government unit of Amlan led by Mayor Manuel Jose Sycip, the Silayan Group, and the SPUD-North America.

Some 500 beneficiaries from barangay Bio-os in Amlan availed of the services of the medical mission provided by volunteer medical doctors, nurses, staff/teachers, Nursing students, and the administration. (PR)
