SPUD Students Bag Awards at Regional Business Tilt

St. Paul University Dumaguete College of Business and Information Technology (CBIT) Students recently competed in the First Council of Management Educators and Practitioners in the Philippines (COMMEP) last November 28-29, 2012 at the Cebu International Convention Center anchored on the theme “Rethinking Leadership: Preparing Future Leaders and Managers in the borderless word”.

Jamie Lou Paglinawan, Cliburn Remotina, Lovely Laurel, Harold Abuso, Cielbert Dondoyano, Angela Faith Tumimbang and Cristy Jo Andaya won as Champion in the Business Management Association of the Philippines (BMAP) Got Talent Search — a dance-musical act.

On the other hand, May Cel Camuta, Zephanie Marie Danieles, Eduard Joseph Narciso, Francine Epiel Cuevas and PJ Paglinawan garnered fourth place in the Management Quiz Bee Competition.

Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia graced the said occasion, and delivered her keynote address, various business personalities also attended along with other guests and convention speakers, like Professor Guia Goduco, President of the Institute for Career Opportunities and Dr. Jose Alagaran of Miriam College who discussed the Outcome-Based Teaching.

SPUD Students Zephanie Danieles was elected Public Relations Officer while May Cel Camuta and Eduard Joseph Narciso were elected as Board of Directors of the newly-organized Business Management Association of the Philippines Region VII (BMAP), wherein SPUD will host the first quarterly meeting on January 2013.
