Elementary and Secondary Education students of St. Paul University Dumaguete are back in the City after completing their International Practice Teaching in Thailand, Korea, and other Asian countries.

Meanwhile, eight other Hotel & Restuarant Management, and Business students have also come home after completing their participation in the Work & Travel Abroad Program and OJT in the US.

According to SPUD Director for External Affairs and foreign representative, Raffy Arbon Duhaylungsod, the participants of the program were Jerlaine Palarca who was assigned in Needles, California; Jinky Patrimonio in Moab, Utah; Katrina Ann Init in Wisconsin; Josebel Ramos in Virginia; while Paula Alviola, Michelle Oraca and Grettel Olasiman also in Utah.

For the past years, St. Paul University has been offering International On-the-Job training to their students, particularly in the US and Singapore.

Before this semester ends, other HRM students are scheduled to leave the country for their OJT in the US.

Duhaylungsod added that the SPUD administration is now planning to expand its International OJT Program in Australia.

Because of the contacts that the students are able to make while doing their internships abroad, several Secondary Education graduates have been recently hired as teachers in Thailand; numerous other HRM and Tourism graduates now work in the USA, Singapore, and other Asian countries. (PR/SPUD)
