SPUD to send delegate to Int’l Antarctica Expedition

A junior student of St. Paul University Dumaguete taking will participate in the International Antarctic Expedition 2013 from Feb. 28 until March 13 next year.

Zephanie Marie R. Danieles, a Business Administration student, will join other college students from various countries in the expedition that will first meet in Ushuaia, Argentina, then by March 3 to Drake Passage – Cape Horn, the most southernly point of the Americas.

On March 5, the group will stay in the Antarctic Peninsula, visiting various places like Cuverville Island, Neko Harbour, Paradise Harbour, and the Lemaire Channel. The group also is set to hold a camping in the Antarctic. Then they will visit King George Island, the largest island the South Shetland Islands of the Peninsula on March 11.

Last July, Danieles was in West Java, Indonesia to attend the East Asia Climate Change Leadership Training Conference. (PR/SPUD)
