Foundation University hosted the launch of the Start Up Cloud Camp held May 23 at the LG Sinco IT Center in cooperation with TechTalks.ph.

TechTalks.ph is a non-profit, independent community of business, technology, and startup enthusiasts. Members meet to share ideas, learn new skills, and discover growing opportunities in the field of technology.

The Cloud Camp, powered by Microsoft is a joint effort of the ICT Association of Dumaguete and Negros Oriental, DuTCom.org, Geeks on a Beach, and the FU College of Computer Studies headed by Dean Dae P. Habalo.

Students from various institutions and representatives from business process outsourcing industries had lectures by the Department of Trade and Industry on the basics of founding start ups and launching successful ventures.

The camp is one of the global grassroots movements of active and empowered entrepreneurs.

TechTalks.ph focuses on education, providing opportunities to work on new platforms, learn a new programming language, or just trying out something different. (Febby Marton Rule)
