Gender Watch against Violence & Exploitation (GWAVE), a duly accredited non-government organization promoting gender-justice, in partnership with the Visayan Forum and Microsoft Unlimited Potential, held a four-day level up class for its STEP — UP (Stop Trafficking & Exploitation of People through Unlimited Potential) Program on April 25 to 29, 2011.

The level — up class participants, comprised of members of the Men against Violence in Amlan (MAVA), were trained on the advanced features of MS Word, MS Power Point and MS Excel. This group of young men from Amlan was also introduced to Digital Photography, Digital Arts and Values Formation Training.

Activities of the level—up class included on-site photography lessons mentored by awarded photographer Hersley Ven Casero, and hands-on training in MS-Office Programs by GWAVE staff. This program aims to stop trafficking of persons by providing them with computer and life skills, and raising their awareness on their rights. (PR)
