FU freshmen students were in for a treat as they convened for a night of fun and music last July 11 at Sofia Soller Sinco Hall.

With a theme Paint the University Red, students were given the chance to acquaint themselves with their batchmates.

Organized by the FU Student Government to welcome new students under the helm of its new adviser, Jasper Eric Catan, this year’s social conversance highlighted university life.

FUSG officers talked about the university history, year-long activities, and various social responsibilities.

The students crowded the various attractions such as the photo booth, the freedom wall, and the flashmob by the Buglasayaw Dance Troupe.

The evening started off with a number from The Hooligans, followed by acoustic performances from FU talents.

Freshmen representatives served as the background for the Red Feast, a soiree prepared by the college organizations. Students danced the night away to the tune of a surprise performance from Banda Mangga.

Sponsored by Sun Cellular, awards were given to Nicandro Boiser, a tourism student for being the Red King, and to Halimatu Yushawu, an accounting major as the Red Queen. Sun gift certificates were handed out to the Male and Female Red Stunners.

The celebration gave FUnites the opportunity to relax, mingle, and find new friends. (Febby Marton Rule)
