Students’ work to represent NegOr in cinema fest

Bearing the creativity mark of the University, the film “Bugas” produced by two students was recently exhibited at the annual Cinema Rehiyon, a nationwide gathering of filmmakers, from November 28 to December 2 at the De La Salle University Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The film “Bugas” by Jomar Solania (Main Cinematographer) and Mark Lifana (Director) earned the right to represent after it was adjudged as the Best Film for Lutas Film Festival, Negros Oriental’s official film competition supported by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Now on its third year, Foundation University leads and hosts the annual Lutas Film Festival during the first quarter of the year in order to provide a venue for local filmmakers from the Province of Negros Oriental to showcase their works which will qualify for exhibition at the annual Cinema Rehiyon.
