The Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities-Accrediting Council Inc. has granted Silliman University an Institutional Re-accreditation status for the next five years until April 2023.

Institutional Accreditation or Re-accreditation is the highest accreditation award ACSCU Accrediting Council can give to an educational institution.

Dr. Earl Jude Paul Cleope, SU vice president for Academic Affairs, received the award with Dr. Beulah Rose Torres, Instruction director, during the 34th ACSCU-ACI national assembly held in Manila.

In awarding the Institutional Re-accreditation Status to Silliman, ACSCU-ACI recognizes the University’s “continuing commitment to the Ideals of Voluntary Accreditation as evidenced by the high level of program accreditation; for its long tradition of excellence in the areas of instruction, research, community service, high performance of its graduates in licensure examinations, and for having an effective internal quality assurance mechanism.”

ACSCU-Accrediting Council is one of only three accrediting agencies for private education institutions in the Philippines recognized by the Commission on Higher Education. It assesses and updates the quality of education through both an internal review and an independent external evaluation of its member institutions. (SU OIP)
