Silliman University College of Mass Communication, in partnership with the Embassy of Canada, will once again host this year’s Marshall McLuhan Forum Series on Responsible Media on Feb. 24, 10 a.m., at SU Multi-Purpose Room.

The lecture will be given by Gigi Grande, ABS-CBN broadcast journalist, and recipient of the Marshal McLuhan 2016 awards. She will be accompanied by communications specialist Carlo Figueroa of the Embassy of Canada.

Reactors for the McLuhan forum are Judy Flores-Partlow, manager of the Philippine News Agency; and Alex Rey Pal, manager of People’s Television Network-Visayas.

The forum is timed with the celebration of SU Masscom Week from Feb. 20-24. The activities include the Balik-NSPC, News Quiz, Ms. Mass Communication screening, and the Silliman Film Open.

The College will also have a KMC Fun Day and the News Makers Night at Hotel Essensia. The College of Mass Communication invites journalism practitioners and Masscom alumni to the activites (Sommer Buyante/SU Masscom)
