Silliman University has announced the appointment of new academic and unit heads effective June this year.

The new deans are Dr. Batchiba Lacdo-o for the College of Education, Dr. Maria Lorena Tuballa for the College of Engineering & Design, Dr. Madeline Quiamco for the College of Mass Communication, and Dr. Elizabeth Susan Vista-Suarez for the College of Performing & Visual Arts.

The new directors are Prof. Evelyn Fajardo for the Institute of Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Dr. Janet Estacion for the Institute of Environmental & Marine Sciences, Dr. Lily Ann Bautista for the Institute of Rehabilitative Sciences, Dr. Beulah Rose Torres for Instruction, Prof. Emervencia Ligutom for Extension, and Dr. Myra Villanueva for the University Library.

Their appointments were announced by Dr. Earl Jude Cleope, vice president for Academic Affairs during the Deans’ Conference on April 30. The new and incumbent deans and directors are expected to serve until May 2022.

Meanwhile, Human Resource Development Manager Atty. Joshua Francisco Ablong also announced other newly-appointed directors: Dr. Jenny Lind Elmaco for Strategic Partnerships, Melita “Bing” Aguilar for Information & Publications; and Eric Villahermosa as manager of the agricultural farms in Pamplona, Negros Oriental and in Ticao Island in Masbate.
