Sugbahay sa Camella proved successful and fulfilling as friends and colleagues gathered for a traditional Pinoy barbecue. Camella encourages you to hold barbecues with family and friends as often as you can.

And since many have asked what the proper way to grill is, we have prepared a few tips. Remember, the only way to get really good at grilling is constant practice, and you can have fun with family while you’re at it too.

First, marinate your meat the night before.

Before you begin heating the grill, brush it or spray it with a little vegetable oil to prevent food from sticking.

Put more than enough coal in the grill and fire it up together. You wouldn’t want to run out of coal in the middle of grilling.

Brush barbecue sauce over the meat as you grill. That way the meat remains tender and soaks in the flavor of the sauce.

Remove all residues with a wire brush right after you finish cooking while the grate is still hot, that way you prevent some of the scrapings from falling into the flames and causing a flare-up the next time you grill.

Camella Dumaguete as the perfect venue for barbecues at the Pavilion. And the backdrop is to die for Carribean pine trees, lush gardens, pocket parks and meditation ponds set against a magnificent view of the Negros Oriental Twin Peaks or Cuernos de Negros — a majestic mountain range.
