A high-value target in the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign in Region 7 was arrested with more than P800,000 worth of suspected shabu during a joint operation Wednesday night in barangay Candau-ay here.
The Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office identified the suspect as Kirstie Sinco Amigo, alias “Madam”, 28, and residing at Agapeps Apartment in Candau-ay.
She was arrested around 7:40 p.m. during the service of a search warrant by a joint team of operatives from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Provincial Intelligence Branch/Special Operations Group, the Maritime Police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Oriental, and the NOPPO.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were five heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, a paper pack, pouch, and one piece of pre-cut tin foil.

The suspected shabu was estimated to weigh 120 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P816,000.
Amigo is tagged by the police as No. 7 HVT in Region 7.
Meanwhile, police arrested a man who yielded shabu and a firearm with ammunition during a checkpoint in barangay Inalad, Siaton, Negros Oriental at around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspect was identified as Allan Enquig Santos, 37, of barangay Cantil-e.
He was first arrested allegedly for “disobedience” during a checkpoint, and a subsequent search yielded several sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P15,640.
Also recovered from him were a caliber .45 firearm and six rounds of live ammunition. (Juancho Gallarde)
