Police operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation Tuesday evening in Barangay Taclobo, Dumaguete.
A police report Wednesday identified the suspect as Michael Silot Maputi, 26 years old, single and a resident of Lower Camanjac, Dumaguete City.
The report said that joint personnel of the Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office-Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit led by Sr. Insp. Don Richmon Conag, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, the Provincial Intelligence Bureau/Special Operations Group, the Provincial Public Safety Company and the Dumaguete City Police Station conducted an anti-illegal drug operation against the suspect around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday.
During the buy-bust operation, the operatives arrested Maputi after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover law enforcement agent.
Confiscated from the suspect were two pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing more or less four grams and with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P44,000.00 and the P1,000.00 marked bill used in the operation.
He is now under detention as proper charges for alleged possession and selling of illegal drugs are filed against him. (Judy Flores Partlow/PNA)
