Task Force SAGARR is now fully operational. This was materialized during the inauguration rites and blessing of the new Task Force SAGARR mobile truck and the induction of the eleven Team leaders and their members during the Flag Raising Ceremony last Monday, March 28, 2011.

Despite fund shortage, Mayor Sagarbarria managed to purchase and acquire one unit mobile truck tagged as SAGARR Task Force to be used as roving vehicle during every operation of any respective team assigned during the day with their corresponding assignments and designations.

City Administrator William E. Ablong, Task Force Ground Commander, said in an interview with media practitioners of Dumaguete that Task Force SAGARR should first concentrate in checking and evaluating all boarding houses in the city, seeing to it that such boarding houses operate within the bounds of law as provided for in the city ordinance that regulates the same. Second are those business establishments that operate without business permits. The City Administrator warns those business entrepreneurs to secure their business permits soon to avoid inconvenience. Then, next, are the implementation with other regulated ordinances that promote order and safety measures among our constituents, and in keeping peace and harmony in the city.

On the other hand, the honorable Mayor Chiquiting Sagarbarria was deeply pleased with the success that we have for the last nine months in his administration. “We can do more if we are always united. And with concerted efforts in reaching our dreams, Dumaguete City will be the best place in the world!” he said.
