25 TESDA scholarships at Cuttin’ Loose

About 25 slots for training and scholarship provided by the Technical Education & Skills Development Authority are available at Cutting Loose Beauty Culture.

According to Maria Luz Cole-Havranek, artistic director of Cutting Loose, the 25 scholarships will be applied on a 216-hour skills training for Nail Care NC II (national certificate).

Other courses offered at Cutting Loose are Basic and Advanced Hairdressing, Facials, Make-up, and Massage.

Cutting Loose is the only TESDA-accredited technical-vocational training and education center in the beauty and wellness industry in Negros Oriental

“This is a program that young students can learn from as it also comes with apprenticeship and an on-the-job training,” she explained.

Classes will be held Saturday mornings only from June 1 to Sept. 30.

Qualifications include at least Grade 10 or completed 10 years of basic education, 15 years old by the start of the training, and whose parents have an income of not more than P300,000/year.

Interested applicants may present at Cutting Loose a barangay clearance of indigency, transcript of records or a high school diploma or a certificate from the Department of Education’s Alternative Learning System Accreditation & Equivalency program, a birth certificate, and a passport size photo.
