A ninth grader from Silliman University sealed the three top spots for the Philippine team with a bronze medal in the Individual Junior Recurve Women’s category during the Southeast Asian Archery Championships held on Jan. 20 in Yangon, Myanmar.
Nicole Marie Tagle and her teammates in the Philippine Team bagged six gold, four silver, and two bronze medals against athletes from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and Myanmar.
Tagle is trained by Silliman alumni Joy Mariño and Clint Sayo from the Dumaguete Archery Center.
