The Tierra Alta Clubhouse, Aquatica Swimming Pool, and Tierra Café’ in Palinpinon, Valencia formally opened to the public April 29 in grand inauguration rites attended by the business community in Negros Oriental, government officials, investors, and other important guests.
Earlier that day, various activities were held right at the Tierra Alta Residential Resort sprawling premises in keeping with the festive mood of the feast of the Sagrada Familia on April 28 in Palinpinon. These activities, meant for those who love adventure sports, as well as for those who simply want to experience adrenaline rush, were the National XC Circuit Mountain Bike race at 7 a.m.; skydiving exhibition at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.; RC airplane and helicopter exhibition at 10 a.m.; and buy one-take one Zipline rides from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. that saw many Negrenses making a beeline to experience the breathtaking view through the first and longest Zipline in the Province.
Since Tierra Alta Residential Resort, now dubbed as the ultimate events destination in this part of Negros Oriental, made itself available for business on Aug. 21, 2010, improvements in the area have been done periodically. A project of Philsouth Properties & Development Corp., the premier pioneer real estate developer in Negros Oriental, it was conceptualized as a one-stop leisure and recreation facility exclusively for lot owner-members. As other amenities started to shape up and more structures were built, the entire facility is now open to the public at attractive rates.
As Atty. Nilo Ruperto, one of Tierra Alta’s business partners, expounded, “Tierra Alta has come a long way since its opening almost two years ago. What was initially completed was El Faro, the lighthouse, which is a standout of a landmark in the area for obvious reasons. Then the Clubhouse was completed last year primarily for the wedding reception of Louie Tijing and his lovely bride, Sabrina. Today, we are formally inaugurating not only the Clubhouse but the other additional features like the Aquatica Swimming Pool and the Tierra Café’, which will soon accept catering services for our clients’ convenience.”
The restaurant offers Mediterranean cuisine infused with Asian and American flavors, and is open daily to the public. The restaurant boasts of having its own bakery, and making its own signature ice cream.
The infinity-shaped Aquatica Swimming Pool is easily the most scenic and unique in the Province, which faces the Palinpinon mountain range on the right, and Siquijor Island, and the ocean on the left. The whole Tierra Alta Clubhouse complex will soon be a free wi-fi zone.
For his part, Valencia Mayor Enrique Gonzales welcomed the development in the landscape of the municipality with enthusiasm. He emphasized that this mega-development project augurs well not only for the people of Valencia, but for the entire Province as it will attract more investors to inject more capital, thus, allowing for job opportunities and brisk economic growth.
Ever the dynamic and highly creative marketing and business person that he is, Louie Tijing, prime mover behind Philsouth Properties, expressed optimism for better things yet to come for his latest project.
“Today, I hope you have taken note and appreciated the many changes that have happened here at Tierra Alta — all for the benefit of the people of Dumaguete and Negros Oriental. May I invite everyone to relish and savor the many amenities we are offering. There are slots available… even if you are not a landowner but wish to become members of the Clubhouse, these are offered to you at discounted rates. The perks and privileges that you enjoy are comparable… to the price that you pay. More than anything else, there is no price tag for relaxation and pleasure,” Tijing enthused.
As he thanked and exhorted everyone for their continued trust and confidence, thus, spurring his staff to strive to serve the public better in their forthcoming projects, he likewise acknowledged the guidance bestowed on all by the Almighty God. “The lovely environment and the breathtaking view that we are all enjoying come from His awesome power. We would never be able to relish and enjoy His creation if we also did not do our part towards preserving and taking care of this natural setting enhanced by man’s creativity and resources,” articulated Tijing.
Aside from Tijing and Atty. Ruperto, the other partners who were also present in the inauguration were Antonio Sy Jr. and Edong Calumpong.
Phase 1 of the residential resort is now almost filled up with 80 percent of the lots sold out. Phase 2 is almost fully developed, and lots are starting to sell briskly with up to 80 percent of the lots sold. The occasion was also an opportune time to highlight Phase 3, which is the highest and most strategic location in the entire Tierra Alta, the launching of which will be announced any time soon. Among the facilities and amenities lined up for Phase 3 is a badminton court, a bike park, and a helipad.
Membership to the Clubhouse is available at promotional rates. Entrance fee to the Clubhouse remains at P500, with P200 consumable at the restaurant.
Privileges for Club members are: free entrance to the Clubhouse, Aquatica Pool and other amenities plus discounts at the restaurant, use of function rooms, zipline adventure ride, and the soon to be launched Tierra Alta Mountain Bike Park, another first in the Province.
Officiating in the blessing was the Rev. Father Marlon Martinez. Providing classical entertainment were homegrown talents Almar Ymalay Pastidio and Jaja Villarin Vicuna, as well as a live band that played until late in the evening.
