Following the footsteps of her aunt, another Tolentino was elected as the new Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President last Tuesday. The young Tolentino, is a niece of Councilor Karissa Tolentino-Maxino. She was elected with 21 of the 30 votes cast.

Like her aunt, Tolentino will sit as ex-officio member of the City Council.

Next election will be for the Provincial SK Federation whose president will sit as ex-officio member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo administered the oaths of office of the SK Federation officers, and rallied the youth leaders to serve the public with passion and integrity to support the administration’s LUPAD vision.

There are 30 SK Chairpersons in Dumaguete City who elected the following officers: President Lei Marie Danielle Tolentino (Batinguel); Vice-President Renz Macion (Poblacion 8), Secretary Rabello Sumoson (Bunao)Treasurer Airah Faye Tabotabo (Looc); Auditor Dazilee Dayuday (Pulantubig); PRO Christianne Marie Oropel (Poblacion); and Sergeant-at-arms John Mark Catalan (Motong).

Monday’s election was supervised by the City Local Government Operations Officer Aquilina Eltanal of the Department of Interior & Local Government, City Election Officer Atty. Gildu Agoncillo of the Commission on Elections, and Sanggunian Panlungsod Secretary Atty. Arthur Fran Tolcidas.
