Police operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Panubigan, Canlaon City in Negros Oriental.
A police report identified the suspect as Joshua Aboso Campus, 61 years old, married and a resident of Liberty Hills, Barangay Mabigo in Canlaon City.
Initial investigation showed that police operatives conducted a buy-bust operation at Exodus Avenue in Barangay Panubigan around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
During the buy-bust operation, the police recovered from the suspect one small piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu and marked money used during the buy-bust operation.
The suspect is now detained as police file a complaint against him for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act as amended.
In Dumaguete, a joint team of anti-narcotics operatives have arrested a suspected drug pusher during a buy-bust operation close to midnight Monday.
A police report identified the suspect as John Jerald Karsteine Noel Sagario, 31 years old, single, and a resident of Barangay Pulantubig, Dumaguete City.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover operative.
Confiscated from his possession were 12 sachets of suspected shabu and P200.00 marked bills used as buy-bust money.
The joint arresting team included operatives from the Provincial Public Safety Company, the Provincial Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Unit, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Dumaguete City Police Station.
The suspect is now detained as charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act as amended are being readied against him. (Judy Flores Partlow/PNA)
