The city government of Dumaguete, Office of the Vice Governor and the Rotary Club of Dumaguete South launched Sunday morning March 25, a initiative project using used tires as artificial reefs with the first beneficiaries are the fishers folks from sitio Canday-ong, Barangay Calindagan in Dumaguete City. Vice Governor Apolinario Arnaiz Jr. led the launching with City Administrator William Ablong, Dr. Leonardo Aro, BFAR Chief, Members of the Rotary Club of Dumaguete South and barangay officials of Calindagan, in this photo seating from left to right; Barangay Calindagan Secretary Rudy Du, City administrator William Ablong, Vice-Governor Jun Arnaiz, City Councilor Dan Leon and members of the Rotary Club of Dumaguete South with City Hall Department Head, pNp and barangay officials at the back.
