The municipality of Valencia in Negros Oriental has launched its biggest tourism campaign to attract more tourists in time for summer and level up its tourism activities and programs.

Valencia Tourism Officer Albert Tubal said Sunday evening during the launching at Tierra Alta that the new tourism campaign is dubbed as the “Trade Launch”.

During the launch, the Valencia Premiere Cultural Group demonstrated their talents in dancing and singing.

Tubal added they also included in the promotional tourism campaign Chada Valencia advertisement to be shown on local television.

For his part, Vice Mayor Romeo Alviola told reporters that the new promotional tourism campaign will help boost the tourism industry and encourage foreign and local tourists to visit the different tourism spots in the said town.

Alviola lauded the help of various organizations, such as local resort owners, for helping Valencia’s tourism industry.

“We have plenty of nice resorts, food and souvenirs in Valencia”, said Alviola in the Cebuano dialect.

Valencia town has been known as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Negros Oriental.

It is known for its waterfalls, the Casaroro, which is said to be the most photographed body of water in Negros Oriental, Mt. Talinis, several mountain resorts, and fruits and ornamental plants. (JFP/Syril Repe)
