Swimmers from the Visayas will have the chance to compete for the Philippine Swimming Inc. -organized tryouts for the national team to the Southeast Asia Age-Group Championships in Jakarta, Indonesia on Aug 24-26.
The Visayan swimmers will have the Visayan leg of the Philippine tryouts here in Dumaguete on July 21-23 at the Lorenzo Teves Aqua Center.
The Visayas tryouts will be held simultaneously with the Northern Luzon tryouts in Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Coach Chito Rivera, who is organizing the tryouts supported by the Philippine Sports Commission and Philippine Olympic Committee, said the top three who qualify in each event will be sent to the SEA Championships.
All tryout results will be consolidated before the official qualifiers are announced. (PNA)
