YMCA to honor 300 students

The Young Men’s Christian Association in Dumaguete will hold Award Recognition Ceremonies of the 2024 YMCA Community Student Aware Program on May 18 to honor some 300 outstanding students.

Greg Fernandez, Jr., general secretary of the YMCA in Negros Oriental, said the ceremony will honor 100 Senior High School graduates and 100 college graduates who are Student Excellence Awardees and 100 Outstanding Student Awardees.

The awarding ceremonies will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be held at the YMCA Guest House and Conference Center in Talay, Dumaguete City.

The Community Student Awards Program of the Negros Oriental YMCA has been going on since 1989 with already more than 5000 awardees honored and recognized coming from the various public and private high schools, colleges and universities in the Province of Negros Oriental. (PR)
